Whenever I talk to other technology users — including CTOs, CSOs and ICT managers, who in theory should have a certain level of expertise — I realise that most of them never consider standards when using applications, devices or websites. Users just want everything to work, but they don’t realise the fundamental role that standards, especially open standards, play in making this happen. Open standards actually offer users a significant advantage over the proprietary solutions they use every day. An open standard is a publicly available set of rules that govern how technology works. Anyone can use, develop or improve them. Examples include HTML for websites, USB for devices and PDF for documents. (And of course, the Open Document Format – ODF – as used by LibreOffice.) 3️⃣ XR HMD: 수렴, 혹은 더뎌진발전 속도?

수 많은 기기들이 쏟아졌던 스마트 글래스에 비하면, XR용 HMD의 신규 기기 출시나 기술 발전이 상대적으로 얌전한(?) 편입니다.

독립형 HMD 시장은 메타의 퀘스트 시리즈가 중저가 시장은 (일부 중국발 추격은 있으나) 거의 독점하다시피 하고 있으며 애플이 비전 프로 출시로 야심차게 노렸던 프리미엄 시장은 흥행참패로 애매해진 상황. 그래도 애플 비전 프로가 불을 한번 지펴 놓은 결과 중고가 시장에 삼성전자-구글-퀄컴 합작 Galaxy XR이 작년 10월에 출시되었고 애플의 실수를 잘 보완해 발매한 덕에 좋은 반응을 얻고 있으며, 중국 업체들도 매우 유사한 형태의 기기들을 속속 출시하는 것이 눈에 띕니다. 특히, 종종 성능은 다소 낮지만 ‘고글’ 형태의 HMD도 나오는걸 보면 현재 형태에서 점차 가볍고 간편해지는 것을 기대해 볼 수 있겠네요.

generalized US legal question: If you don't have a lawyer, and there might come a time in the future when you might want to attend a protest, how would you go about choosing/finding a lawyer you might call if you needed to make a phone call to your lawyer? この「無自覚のままの内面化＝天皇制を信仰していないという自己認識」そのものが逆説的に天皇制の宗教的機能を最も安定させている。
なぜなら信仰として自覚されない限り批判や分離の対象とならず、制度的中立性の仮面を保ち続けるからである。
