Die Lieblingstasse meines Kindes ist kaputt gegangen. Es handelt sich um eine kleine Tasse von Kamla mit einem Panda-Motiv. Da sie ca. 35 Jahre alt ist, kann ich sie nicht nachkaufen.

Hat die zufällig jemand im Schrank stehen und braucht sie nicht mehr?

It's hard to accept living in this fucked up world where we let people die even though cures for their illness exist simply because they were born in the wrong country.

And strangely enough, I can relate to this personally. Because I was denied biologic therapy for my rheumatoid arthritis for over 5 years when I last lived in Canada for "cost efficacy" reasons, which meant my disease got much more severe and difficult to treat and I frequently fail off medications. I have about 2 or 3 drugs left, then I run out of options (unless they invent more).

I don't want to accept that world, so my small act of defiance today is making a donation equivalent to the cost of the medications required to treat one person's multiple drug-resistant TB to Partners in Health, one of the organizations on the ground fighting on behalf of health equity.
