For our first launch of the year, we're kicking off with more blocking features!

Rolling out today: You can now include domain blocklists, including ATProto PDS domains if you don't want to interact with bridged users from that PDS, to Bridgy Fed!

Blocks come with if you Bounce, and we even added a handy list of reputable blocklists to choose from.

Join me this week on the Qasim Rashid Show as I invite two amazing guests to the show. Congresswoman Jayapal returns to discuss the work her and other Democratic leaders are doing to meaningfully counter ICE fascism.

And Dr. Nirav Shah—public health expert and principled progressive—joins from Maine. He's running an inspiring campaign to center the needs of working families.

Listen in now. Become a free or paid subscriber on Ghost for more conversations like this.

What does want from us?

increased funds to address fentanyl trafficking, but it didn’t buy us tariff relief.

We pledged more defence spending, but it hasn’t put to rest threats about annexation.”

“Trump’s appetite for Greenland leads us to think that we are next.

Nothing we’ve seen in his 5 yrs as president tells us that policy concessions will make us safe.”

An important PSA for people who are active on and who, upon hearing that the ICE account was officially verified, are saying: "I will just block it."

Blocking on Bluesky is NOT PRIVATE: it's very easy to see who is blocking any account by visiting sites that list that information.

I took a screenshot from clearsky.app, listing all the accounts that are blocking ICE (I pixelated avatars and usernames for privacy purposes).

The safest bet is to mute (that info is private) 😫

a screenshot of the site ClearSky updating in real time the Bluesky accounts that are blocking ICE. The page reads "U.S. immigration and customs enforcement" blocked by 72233 (accounts) with the date of the block... some seconds ago

I tried an experiment: instead of asking an LLM to help with a project, I asked it what it would build.

It picked a small Rust CLI for code archaeology - a tool to explain why a repo looks the way it does.

The interesting part wasn’t the code, but my role: mostly setting boundaries, killing scope creep, and keeping it a tool instead of a product.

Less “AI replaces creativity,” more “AI accelerates the boring parts if you already know when to say no.”

My friend Mr. Frederickson lost his battle with terminal cancer over the weekend. He'd worked for a year to translate the sequel to his favorite Sega Saturn RPG "Mystaria: The Realms of Lore" but passed it to others in the community in his final days. His story:
