I’m reading Roxane Gay’s “Bad Feminist.” She has some meaningful perspectives on privilege:
“We need to get to a place where we discuss privilege by way of observation and acknowledgement rather than accusation.”
This is powerful framing that might help privileged folks understand/accept their privilege, rather than be defensive about it. That the guilt/shame is something that stands in the way of progress.

I played with my mastodon client on Android a bit, trying new ones, uninstalling, reinstalling, and my notifications stopped working. If this happens to you, long tap on the application icon, tap details, storage and cache, wipe everything. It worked for me.
Also, it helps to clean up a bit on the authentification tokens in the mastodon settings on the web. I hadn't done that in a long time.

omg I'm reading this dumb twitter article but can't continue because I'm laughing too hard at this diagram. Like, using this as a definition of an intelligent system then crashing into the fucking rocks because you don't know wtf a lighthouse is.
It's probably just because my family's in the fishing industry that I know the secrets of the sea: for instance, boats go on the water and lighthouses go on land, and they should generally not be in the same place at the same time.
