A crash is coming for sure. The messaging now is more like pleading. Quite extraordinary, but because there's evidence there's no solid business case for a lot of this stuff, and the infrastructure being build on this bubble. And the lack of environmental impact evaluation.
So a dotcom crash but bigger. Sadly with politicians in their pocket though, which wasn't the case back then.

I don't send many emails anymore. I receive emails but I don't send many. Even at work, most of our communication is done via other means. But I do generate at least one email a day to send to a group of external testers. I don't send this from a traditional mail client. Instead it is a shell script that gathers some information and opens a text editor to add further comments. After that the file is sent with #cURL, via smtp. That means that curl is my main mail client (at least for sending). 🤔

The "brilliant" minds behind the new social network wsocial.eu forgot to grab related domain names, so I applaud the efforts of the creator of w-social.eu... encouraging people to be social and simply join the fediverse.
Fun fact: yesterday I almost registered wsocial.lol (1 Euro for the first year) and wsocial.wtf.
I guess if I see an article in mainstream media about wsocial.eu I may do it (if the domains are still available).
Journos, you should cover the fediverse!

1. 多位影音處理軟體 FFmpeg 的開發者們認為 Google 利用強大的自動化 AI 工具掃描並回報了大量的程式漏洞，並要求期限內修復。這種不對等的資源投入，導致志願者被機器生成的錯誤報告淹沒。FFmpeg 要求 Google 應提供資金維護，否則將停止接收這些讓維護團隊過勞的 Bug 報告。
2. 熱門 CSS 框架 Tailwind CSS 正經歷流量暴跌與大規模裁員。主因是 Google 搜尋引擎的 AI 摘要功能和 AI 撰寫的程式碼，直接代替開發者寫好了 code，Tailwind CSS 喪傷了大量的流量和轉化付費購買的機會。
3. CC 授權釋出知識內容的程式問答網站 Stack Overflow，面臨了內容與社群的雙重危機。隨著開發者轉向 AI 工具提問導致網站流量下滑，Stack Overflow 將網站累積的資料轉賣給 AI 公司作為訓練教材，引發了使用者的強烈反彈。
4. 繪圖工具 tldraw 的創辦人 Steve Ruiz 因為收到大量由 AI 生成的程式碼貢獻（Pull Requests）。這些程式碼外觀格式完美，內容卻往往是無意義的、錯誤的，甚至是針對不存在問題的修復。維護者必須耗費大量心力去辨識這些「偽裝成人類貢獻」的機器垃圾。為了避免被這些無意義的貢獻淹沒，Steve Ruiz 提出不得不「關閉外部貢獻」的想法，讓開源專案被迫築起高牆，拒絕陌生人的參與。
目前的 AI 發展模式正在單向消耗開源生態的資源，無論是維護者的時間（FFmpeg）、專案的營收（Tailwind）、社群的知識（Stack Overflow），還是協作的互信（tldraw），都正遭受前所未有的衝擊。
