Just look at WAFRN for example, they built a kickass Tumblr alternative with both ActivityPub and AtProto/Bluesky support.

And they have a fast growing community, because they focused on building a better Tumblr, and have a vibrant ecosystem with many contributors.

Rockstar project, and devs, they are a shining example of how to get this right and shatter expectations with constant evolution.

Kudos @gabbomangabboman the wafrn dev and team

So my $company forced AI tools down our throats recently - everyone has to claim a license for either Cursor, Copilot or Windsurf, even if they don't plan on using it.
Upper management is huffing copium, telling everyone those tools are useful and reliable now (this time for real, guys!) and it will greatly improve our productivity.

And how is it going in reality?
Well, for example - yesterday I was working on an issue that turned out to be more complicated than I thought. A well-meaning coworker decided to "help" me by feeding this repo's code to Cursor and asking it to come up with a solution to my problem.

Damn clanker scanned my WIP code and spat out a rehash of it that was worse, wasn't compiling, had business logic errors and (obviously) wasn't correct. And I mean, I didn't expect anything different, but I still wasted an hour of my life analyzing the code and explaining to my coworker that I appreciate the intent, but it's completely worthless.

And it's not the first time it happened...
