The National Park Service removed signs referencing slavery at the President's House site in Philadelphia this week, in a shameful attempt to erase important national history.
But the site from which the signs were removed is right on Market Street. It occurs to me that the Philadelphia city government could erect copies of the forbidden displays a few feet away on the sidewalk.
another thing i'm noticing is that there is just no need to make a bunch of things blocking. you can pass promises down and await them at the leaves. so more io can be parallelized without restructuring code. it's neat but not what it expects to do with promises

My inability to get a handle on the size of the crowd from inside the crowd is a metaphor for today writ large. In addition to the big downtown protest, there were multiple protests at the airport, clergy arrested for blocking the airport access road, at least two impromptu neighborhood protests I’m aware of near my house. There were food drives. There were street parties. Many businesses that were “closed” kept their doors open and offered free coffee, pancakes, warming spaces. Nobody really knows everything that happened.
@inthehandsPaul Cantrell we really showed up and showed out today. Today was the first time I’ve heard the “I believe that we will win” chant and actually believed it. For every person down town there were at least as many at other protests or working rapid response teams. I fucking love the twin cities.

claude seems to be a lot better at doing react server components if you explicitly tell it to do stuff on the server and then just pass it down to the client
