Tonight the waves of bot traffic hitting many of the servers I manage have intensified, including Brew on BSD Cafe, but not only that. Honestly, the feeling I have now is no longer the same as it was some time ago (AI scrapers), but that there are real disruption operations going on. I can see it’s much more concentrated around certain providers and certain datacenters. If I block some countries like China, the numbers drop dramatically.
I still haven’t figured out whether there’s something specific and targeted happening (a broad DDoS) or if they’re still scrapers, but they honestly seem really dumb.
Maybe we should just create an alternative network and leave the Internet to these entities.
At this point they’re just talking to themselves anyway.

6. 위에 적은 대로 본인들 주력 사업에서 돈을 벌고 미래를 투자해야 하는데 지금 테슬라는 주력 사업에 신경을 안 쓰고 미래가 돈을 벌어다 줄 것처럼 주객전도되었다. 그 예로 로봇과 로보택시인데 오늘 발언까지 포함하면 테슬라가 반도체 공장인 '테라 팹'까지 짓는다는 거 보면 완전히 어이가 없는 선택이다. (참고로 머스크는 이 반도체 공장은 클린룸을 줄이고 햄버거와 시가를 피워도 되는 공장으로 만들겠다는 소리도 했다)🧵

아무리 봐도 웃긴 결정인데 자동차 회사가 플래그십 자동차 라인업을 버리겠다는 것도 너무 웃김. 물론 전 세계적으로 고가의 차량들이 부진한 건 맞지만 테슬라의 경우에는 일론 머스크의 무관심과 행동이 가장 큰 원인이라고 본다. 자세히 풀어보자면 1. 우선 모델 S와 X는 출시 이후로 풀 체인지가 없었고 자잘한 페이스 리프트만 있었다. 그래도 계속해서 마이너하게 변화를 주고 개선은 했지만 소비자들 입장에선 그렇게 매력적인 물건은 아니었을 것이다. 그렇다고 이를 해결하기 위해 마이너 업데이트 말고는 한 일이 없다. 🧵

오늘도 정전기로 PC를 꺼지게 만들었다 😔
하루 이틀 사이에 한 번꼴로 발생하는 듯.
그나마 다행인 건 계속 저장하는 버릇을 들였기 때문에 작업물에 큰 지장은 없다는 것.
하지만 정전기 특유의 느낌도 별로고 다시 켜진 PC의 프로그램을 열어두는 과정도 번거롭고... 여간 짜증 나는 게 아니다.

- I would run my own server
- Use cases: DMs and bridging other platforms to simplify things
- Not super interested in the issues with public group chats unless you have something truly novel to add; decentralized problems have well known drawbacks
