My work is cited in Congressional reports and I advise Congressional staffers.

The crypto industry spent $133 million installing pro-crypto lawmakers in 2024 and $285 million on lobbying. There is not a similarly funded effort on the other side; I do everything I can to offset that imbalance.

In fact, the crash has raised serious and legitimate concerns about potential insider trading and specifically whether a crypto trader was given information about the upcoming tariff announcements. As Molly White explains, in the aftermath of the crash, analysts noticed a wallet that had deposited millions into the Hyperliquid decentralized exchange before the crash, taking a heavily leveraged short position on bitcoin and ether. When the market plummeted, they profited to the tune of more than $150 million.

I run Follow the Crypto, tracking industry political spending. I’m in the process of updating it for 2026, where crypto super PACs have already raised more than double their record-breaking 2024 spending. followthecrypto.org/

The Wolf's Paw

Often I show up early to pre-compose a shot leaving me waiting for the sun to shift and the light I wanted to reveal itself. This gives me lots of time to explore the areas around me, sometimes allowing me to stumble onto small scenes like this.

On this occasion I found pockets of air trapped in the ice, with a few pockets having broken the surface to reveal what look like a canine paw.

An icy lake bed with bubbles form underneath the surface. A few bubbles have broken the surface revealing a patter that resembles the paw print of a canine.

Just setup lagg on my laptop and it was easier than I first thought. So now if I'm not on a wired connection it'll jump to WiFi. My Wifi chipset is iwlwifi0: Detected Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz

On WiFi I get 275Mbps by 97Mbps
On wired I get 987Mbps by 94Mbps

FYI It was all in the excellent handbook here.

RE: socialontario.ca/@smattymatty/

After digging into Hootsuite more... it's worse than I thought.

CEO Irina Novoselsky personally flew to Washington to pitch ICE. She told employees to stay quiet because speaking up "won't change the narrative."

OMERS Ventures - the pension fund for Ontario municipal workers, firefighters, paramedics, transit workers, and children's aid societies - is a Hootsuite investor.

Let them know how you feel about that:
