As I was playing around with contrast-color(), I got a wild idea that you could use contrast-color() to invert its return value by nesting it: contrast-color(contrast-color(var(--some-color)). When would this be useful? Uh… Good question. I couldn’t come up with an example right away but after a bit I found one sitting right under my nose….

Did you know that the tech Spout2PW uses, PipeWire, is also used for webcams on Linux these days? And also screen capture!
There are some details to work out, but it should eventually be possible to use Spout2PW streams as virtual cameras with no additional software!

I just saw highlights of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2026 and I really really liked it. I have no favorite winter sport to watch, but we'll see, maybe there will be some pleasant surprise.
As for the opening ceremony itself, it was really fresh, modern looking. I'll start with the thing I'm not sure it needed: Mariah Carey - in the country with 59 millions of singers, why?
On the other hand, the national anthem sang by Laura Pausini was a great choice: she's well known even abroad, has a very decent voice that suits for this occasion, she's kind of "in the middle" of generations so she'd be accepted as a singer of the anthem by the younger generation as well as by the older one. And she does look great, that's always a plus.

전에 먹어봤던 양파맛 메밀칩 말고 김맛이랑 대파맛을 사서 먼저 김맛을 먹어봤는데....아주 못먹을 물건은 아닌데 양파맛에 비해서는 2% 아쉬운 것이었다...
