The Department of Defense has quietly signed a $210 million deal to buy advanced cluster shells from one of Israel’s state-owned arms companies, marking unusually large new commitments to a class of weapons and an Israeli defense establishment.
The deal, signed in September and not previously reported, is the department’s largest contract to purchase weapons from an Israeli company in available records.

The Cluster Munition Monitor has documented more than 24,800 cluster munition injuries and deaths since the 1960s, three-quarters from unexploded remnants. In 2024, cluster munitions killed at least 314 civilians, the majority of them in Ukraine.

에바와는 조금 다르다고 보는데, 에바의 경우 그 느슨한 얼개처럼 보이는 공간에서 팬들이 신나게 놀고 있지만, 사실 그곳에는 공간이 없다. 그 얼개는 안노가 의도한 해석만이 존재하는 공백일 뿐이다. 이는 이후의 가이낙스계 제작자들의 작품에 많은 영향을 미쳤는데, 이로 인해 지쿠악스가 숏폼 스타일의 영상이라는 평가를 받게 되었다고 생각한다. 지쿠악스의 경우 안노의 에바에서 시작된 공백같아 보이나 공백이 없는 가이낙스계 스타일의 작품이고 그래서 더 위화감이 들 수 밖에 없었다고 본다.

It turns out that fungus growing termites sometimes cultivate Termitomyces titanicus. This is an excellent scientific name.
CORRECTION:
I assumed they had to work like ants. Wrong! (A fruiting body would only emerge from a dead ant colony not so with these termites) Something about macrotermitinaes nuptial flights stimulates mushroom fruiting. (!) They get covered in pink spores.
And you can eat it!
Hence the species name.

In Western Australia, the damage to coral reefs including the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo has eclipsed any previous bleaching events.
These microorganisms give corals their bright pastel colours and disease resistance.
Their absence creates the bleaching effect many Australians have become all too familiar with.

数十年を総括して「私たち国民がそういう政治を選んできた」みたいなことを言われるし、「みんなの責任」論にすれば「大人な意見」「冷静で客観的できちんと全員で責任を引き受ける見方」みたいに思う人も多いみたいだけど、私はそれは「一億総懺悔」と同じ考え方で、誤りだと思う。全体主義的過ぎる。
私は大戦後の「一億総懺悔」が、責任の所在をあいまいにしてきちんとやり直す機会を奪ったことが、戦後を大きく誤らせたと思っているし、
また同じ間違いを繰り返すような、「みんなの責任」論は間違いだという。
実際に「そちらを選ぶ投票をした人間」が今を選んできたんだよ、ちゃんとその責任を引き受けてほしい。
選挙を人気投票と思ってたり「勝ち馬に乗る」「当選者を当てる」みたいに思ってる人には、それは誤りで、「今後の政策の責任を負う」重大な選択をしたんだと理解してほしい。投票をした人と、権利があるのに投票しないことを選んで白紙委任した人たちの全員が、【自分で】【政策を】選んだんだよ。
今後起こることは、天災みたいに誰にも責任のないことじゃない。確かに選んで引き寄せた人がいて、その結果がやってくる。
私はこの「自分に責任がないと思っている」人にたぶん一番腹を立てている

나는 이러한 영화의 구성과 기법이 숏폼시대에 살아남기 위한 새로운 도전과 실험이라 생각하고 있다. 초기에는 의도하지 않았을지 몰라도 이렇게 세간에 오르내리는 작품들이 등장하면 그 성공을 재연하려는 해체와 분석이 뒤따를 수 밖에 없기 때문이다. 그렇기에 이러한 구조의 영화와 문화 컨텐츠는 더 늘어날 것이며 그 느슨한 얼개는 보다 많은 사람들이 참여할 수 있는 공간으로 활용되기 위해, 역설적이게도 보다 정교하고 치밀하게 구성되게 될 것이다.
