I’ve been asked on TV hits and interviews lately to explain why decentralized social media is better, especially re: Mastodon.
How would you explain the benefits of a platform like Mastodon and the fediverse to someone in just a few sentences? How would you make the argument that platforms like Mastodon allow for more free expression than big tech controlled apps?
Would love to hear people’s thoughts! Trying to make my arguments most effective
1. Your company, university, or club can run a Mastodon server for itself, under its full control.
2. No one can tell you which apps to use or what kind of functionality it can have.
3. You don't have to chase friends or influencers from platform to platform. Set up a homebase on the Fediverse and follow them remotely wherever they go.
4. You own your contacts. No algorithm keeps you from seeing them, or them from seeing you.
5. Your server can be hosted in your country.

터치 인터페이스가 유리한 건 그 유연성 덕에 여러 기능을 하나의 기기로 처리할 수 있다는 점인데, 운전은 고정된 작업이라서 유연할 필요가 없음. 있더라도 중앙 터치 디스플레이 하나면 대부분 대응 가능하고.

요즘 많은 전기차들이 테슬라의 허접한 인테리어를 미니멀리즘이라 착각하여 터치 인터페이스들을 도입하는데 자동차에 있어선 물리 버튼이 주가 되어야 하고 터치 스크린은 보조로 사용해야 한다고 본다. 생각 외로 조니 아이브는 이 생각에 동의하는지 꽤나 참신하고 견고한 자동차 실내 디자인이라 생각. 특히 알루미늄을 곳곳에 사용한 것도 조니 아이브답다면 아이브 다운 선택
간혹 테슬라 팬보이들은 테슬라의 실내 디자인과 이렇게 버튼이 달린 차를 비교하면서 피쳐폰과 스마트폰을 보는 것 같다고 하지만 이는 아무것도 모르는 멍청한 소리. 우선 차와 폰은 다르다는 문제도 있고 당시 버튼이 비판받던 이유는 매번 새로운 기능이나 디자인을 새로운 제품에만 넣어서 기존 제품의 업데이트를 제약한다는 문제도 있었다.
하지만 차는 다르다. 표준적인 인터페이스가 있고 폰과 달리 운전 중에도 작동시켜야 하는 기능들이 있음을 생각하면 터치스크린 중심의 자동차 인터페이스는 미니멀리즘의 탈을 쓴 엉망인 디자인이라고 본다.
갈 커뮤가 없다 소재가 괜찮다 싶은 곳이 있으면 1. 퀴혐함 2. 12^이래서 가기 머쓱함 3. 일상커임 위에서부터 탈탈탈탈 걸러져서 마지막에 ㄹㅇ 아무것도 안남음 수고해라........

So I guess we’re done! Well, mostly done.
It turns out changing FoK from one family registry to another is not a one-step process (lol because of course it isn’t 😂)
It turns out that first, FoK’s hometown has to remove him from the old family registry, and make one with just him in it. Then that family registry is sent to the city where Miss FoC’s is located. Apparently, the process of making the solo family registry takes two weeks, and then the process of adding to ours takes two weeks 🙃
