警方周三（11日）回應外界關注去年宏福苑五級火警後，國安處展開的一連串拘捕行動。警務處副處長（國家安全）簡啟恩表示，國安處曾就多項涉嫌危害國家安全的行為採取執法行動，包括「出於煽動意圖作出具煽動意圖的作為」、「明知而發布具煽動意圖刊物」以及「妨害調查危害國家安全」等罪名拘捕多人，惟基於部分案件仍在調查階段，不便披露拘捕總人數。
簡啟恩透露，目前已有3名涉案人士被正式檢控。其中一宗涉及發布煽動刊物的案件，已押後至2月27日再訊；另一宗涉及在社交媒體發布具煽動意圖影片，並披露與國安處約談內容的案件，則押後至2月23日處理；第三宗同樣涉及發布煽動刊物的案件，將於3月4日再訊。
警方同時確認，71歲時事評論人王岸然已被起訴，涉及「妨害調查危害國家安全」及「明知而發布具煽動意圖刊物」等控罪，案件正循司法程序處理。
對於近日網上有聲音以「不可抗力」為由，聲稱停止就相關事件作出評論，簡啟恩直言，該說法有將責任轉嫁警方之嫌，形容相關言論並不公平，亦屬對警方的抹黑。
