EU countries falsely accuse UN expert Francesca Albanese in ‘witch hunt’:

Francesca Albanese’s Doha speech was doctored to suggest she called Israel the “common enemy of humanity”.

She posted the full video, saying she meant the system shielding abuses from accountability.

France, joined by Germany and the Czech Republic, has urged her resignation, despite UN warnings of mounting attacks and disinformation against independent experts.

I've put a to-do list at the top of my phone home screen.

I hate it. It's working though. It's the most productive I've ever been while using the bathroom 🫣

Glad I'm a mobile first kind of person, amazing what you can get squared away in a few minutes...

Spent some time making doesjitgobrrr.com pluggable this week so that folks who want to contribute results from their own hardware can do so!

I am particularly interested in consumer-grade hardware with specs that are not yet covered by the website!

Instructions for how to contribute:

I saw yet another “CSS is a massively bloated mess” whine and I’m like. My dude. My brother in Chromium. It is trying as hard as it can to express the totality of visual presentation and layout design and typography and animation and digital interactivity and a few other things in a human-readable text format. It’s not bloated, it’s fantastically ambitious. Its reach is greater than most of us can hope to grasp. Put some *respect* on its *name*.

It sure looks like Benj Edwards and Kyle Orland at @arstechnica used a badly behaved chatbot to write their article about somebody else's badly behaved chatbot. At the very least, they signed off on bunch of fabricated quotes.

Ars Technica used to be so good.

There are fresh indignities and outrages every day, but let’s celebrate the courts, Congress, and the states when they actually hold up the Constitutional order and don’t cave to despotism

When I said that your discord clone doesn’t need e2ee, I got a lot of comments along the lines of “ then how would I use it to organize the revolution!” The answer is: you don’t. If you have more users than can comfortably share a Signal chat and hence want to use discord or something like it, you cannot POSSIBLY be vetting all of them to a high standard of trust. Your logs ARE leaking. End-to-end encryption between more people than can fit around a dinner table is pointless.

This article confirms what I already assumed, that “open source [information sense, not code sense] intelligence gathering on social media” includes, for the US government, asking for links to join groups that may *feel* private. My own discord has literally like a thousand idlers. It would be very *lucky* if none of them were logging for potentially nefarious purposes! And I remind the active users of this occasionally.
