Good news! By 2028, Toyota expects to make electric cars with a 1000 kilometer (600 mile) range with batteries that can be charged in just 10 minutes!
They're using 'solid-state batteries'. Currently a lot of car batteries use an organic solvent with a dissolved lithium salt. The new solid-state batteries replace that flammable blend with a glassy solid containing compounds of lithium, sulfur and phosphorus. They charge faster, they have 10 times the energy density, and don't easily catch on fire. But they are tricky in various ways.
Toyota wants to win the race, and they've teamed up with a Japanese oil company that will manufacture the battery material. But Mercedes-Benz and other companies are also in the race. The activity in China is particularly intense, as you'd expect.

In theory it doesn't matter if the poll is posted here or on another server, as long as it has the correct fediMatch hashtags. But I can only calculate based on votes that my server receives so I'll probably only see results for polls that have been posted here.

I don't particularly want to open up registrations on my own server at this time, but it would be cool to have a dedicated server for this. If the users are on the same server as the matchmaker bot, then it can more easily see votes they make on polls hosted elsewhere, enabling greater federation of the question set*. Such a server could also host multiple matchmaking bots, utilizing different algorithms or attracting specific communities, but operating on the same question set. You could add additional hashtags to questions for use by various bots: questions tagged "dating" could be ignored by friendship matching, or questions tagged "silly" could be ignored or deprioritized for "serious" matching.

* At this point proper federation of the question set would only work for "direct" questions (you match if you both select the same answer) and not "pair" questions (you match if they seek what you are and vice-versa).
