We're officially reducing the destruction of unsold clothing and footwear, a practice responsible for the loss of around 4-9% of Europe’s textiles.

With the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, we’re simplifying the process for businesses:

🔸Destruction is only allowed under clear exceptions
🔸Easier ways to disclose how unsold goods are managed

Textile companies are encouraged to manage stock better and prioritise resale, donations, and reuse.

The image illustrates the lifecycle of a coat, showing the options after it is unsold. On the left, there is a coat labelled ‘unsold. A red downward arrow indicates that product is damaged or unsafe to be sold, leading to disposal, represented by a pile of damaged clothes. A green upward arrow shows that the coat can be resold, remanufactured, donated, or reused, resulting in 'new life’ represented by a pile of coats ready for sale. The European Union flag is in the bottom right corner.

I must question if these defense contractors are reliable partners for the US. CEO fantasizes about spraying fentanyl-laced piss on analysts. Founder defends illegal boat strikes because they're "masculine." Not to mention all the things Peter Thiel is up to. The right people for long-term trust?

Yer free monad on a container C is yer C*, with container morphisms in I -> C* and C*;C* -> C*, giving a monad on sets.

But -* is itself a monad on containers, with container morphisms in C -> C* and C** -> C*. That’s the free monad monad.

Kleisli arrows in the free monad monad are container morphisms in C -> D*, which act as templates for catamorphisms. For every C shape, you get a D term whose variables tell you where to substitute the results of the recursive calls from each C position.

These templates can be recovered from the function itself by perturbation testing.

Browsing my Fedi feed today and it is clear some of y'all need hugs really badly.

I am here to provide!!

*Hugs you tight if you would like a hug* You're okay, friend. I've got you here in my forelegs and I love you so much. *gives you another gentle squeeze, fluffing up a little for you to bury yourself in their fur if you'd like*

You are so good. Thank you for hanging in there even when it's difficult. I am so proud of you.

If you need me, I'm here. :)

I had a thread I posted ages ago about how there needs to be a global wiki about every piece of hardware on earth that attempts to doccument all the components in them and their status or jailbrokenness/openness and randomly listened to another podcast episode from @NGIZeroNGI0: Next Generation Internet about a project they funded called DeviceCode that is attempting to unify data sources from a number of different wikis into a single searchable database. It really needs a nice web interface though

“Trump's AMBs🚨are raising cash from cos for USA 250-rlt celebrations, incl a rodeo & a🎄lighting at the US embassy in Singapore.

“I need your💰” -US AMB for Singapore, A Sinha, told execs at a dinner sponsored by Philip Morris.”

One would think that these CEOs would stop the grift. Trump will continue to gouge them, & take a larger share for himself. He’s making Orban look like an amateur.
