It was a journey, years of learning and growing.
2020 - Found NativeBase, created a simple mockup to tease official app support
2021 - Experimented with a react-native pixelfed app
2022 - Shipped the first beta (v1)
2023 - Added Stories + dark mode and many improvements (v2)
2024 - Rewrote it to make it faster (v3)
2025 - Public release (Android + iOS app stores)
2026 (Coming soon) - v4: bigger, cleaner and faster with no bugs

heh, I do need to grow our team and delegate more, but ngl, it do feel pretty neat to be that guy with two big projects that keep growing.
It's not for everyone, in fact, I haven't seen one other fediverse project with a full stack dev who also wrote their mobile app.
