왜 이런 말을 하냐면, 회사 안에 자체 법원까지 짓고 싶어한다면 보나마나 자체 경제 시스템을 구축하려고 할것이기 때문이죠. 암울한 전망이지만 이걸 누가 막지 않는다면 앞으로 테슬라와 그 계열사들은 급여를 달러가 아닌 도지코인으로 받게 될지도 모릅니다. 그보다 심한 경우 코인 거래소에 상장조차 되지 않은 테슬라와 그 계열사 안에서만 사용가능한 쿠폰으로 지급받게 되겠죠. 끔찍한 과거의 재림입니다. 다만 과거와 다른 점이 있다면 이제 더는 피부색을 따지지 않고 화이트 칼라도 피할 수 없다는 점이겠네요.
혹시, 영화 시너즈 보셨나요? 그 영화 도입부에 달러가 아닌 기업(농장) 쿠폰으로 클럽에 들어가려고 하는 사람들이 나오는데요, 실제 미국의 기업, 광산, 농장들은 노동자들에게 법정 통화가 아닌 자체 쿠폰으로 임금을 지급했습니다. 그리고 이 쿠폰은 당연히 사업체 안에서만 사용이 가능했고요. 달러와 교환을 위한 환율이 있기도 했지만 그 비율이 너무 엉망이었고, 쿠폰에 유효기간이 있는 경우가 많았습니다. 결국 노동자들은 자신들의 노동의 댓가도 제대로 못받은데다가 그나마 받은 쿠폰도 다시 사업주에게 돌려줘야 하는 꼴이 되었죠.
