Opakovaně se mi vrací. Nemám zatím zařazeno. Nemám zatím
oštítkováno. Zde, v tématu "Famur", o článku
Patricie Simón "Od strachu z druhých k strachu z našich"
V tématu "Veřejnosti" s Jeanne-A Debats o

Tělesný i
duševní. Svá společenství. Svou vzájemnost. Své veřejnosti.

Vím, že je to složité.

My own utopian vision from the landscape of wooden skyscrapers now has name: Project . Probably silly, but at least most people would somehow associate it with megacity built from wood, which is more or less all we need just now.

The utopian community members in the story are not the only inhabitants of the landscape. The wooden skyscrapers are not towering over entirely postapocalyptic or dystopian society, but neither it is entirely utopian landscape. Community centers in wooden towers form something like fractal network of self-repeating patterns, consisting of sustainable and artistic elements, but not everywhere they were given chance. They were unexpected result of failing local regulatory framework, because at least the earliest examples of the structures would hardly meet construction, safety or fire hazard regulations of the previous era.

The landscape between creative fragments consists of traditional family houses, traditional suburban dependence on cars, traditional TV sets in living room and lot of other traditional or normie something, which was not really based on idea of utility the space to its inhabitants, but rather around inevitable of concept of the property having value on market, be attractive for someone else, who would try to bet what value the building would have for yet someone else. While this sometimes resulted in expensive looking habitable space, it was never really focused on the people who would actually live there, but rather on impressing someone else and trying to belong to certain social group. Which maybe even worked sometimes in the past - but no longer worked in the era, in which this story takes place.

The old society was no longer functional, but the new one was available only as ever evolving beta version. And there were also numerous intermediate mutations somewhere in between those two concepts.

Instead of trying to prevent LLM training on our code, we should be demanding that the models themselves be freed.

I want my code to be used for LLM training. What I don't want is for that training to produce proprietary models that become the exclusive property of AI corporations. The problem isn't the technology or even the training process itself. The problem is the enclosure of the commons, the privatization of collective knowledge, the one-way flow of value from the many to the few.

This isn't a new problem. It's the same problem FLOSS has always fought, just wearing new clothes.

Still blows my mind that my medication, Emgality, is like $1,000 with insurance but if I print out a special cheat code from the manufacturer's website its $35. And they don't automatically give this cheat code to people so that elderly and sick people end up accidentally paying full price.

Another post on the instagram of Tanya Klowden and myself, this time comparing the many ways cartographers have projected the (mostly) spherical Earth onto flat planes. No planar projection can faithfully reproduce *all* the geometric features of a sphere, so each projection is a compromise; but some projections are still preferred over others for specific applications. instagram.com/p/DVC9SvxkXDs

Cosmic Distance Ladder on Instagram: "The Earth is round, but maps (or computer and phone screens) are flat. So, we have to apply a projection to map the round Earth onto a flat surface. Ideally, we would like this projection to have three desirable properties: • Area-preserving. The projection should not stretch one part of the Earth to look larger than another part that actually has the same surface area. • Shape-preserving.(Mathematicians call this the “angle-preserving” or “conformal” property.) The projection should not squish or stretch the shape of an object: a round landmass should not become elliptical, for instance. • Grid lines. Lines of latitude should be horizontal; and lines of longitude (also known as “meridians”) should be vertical. Unfortunately, these three properties form a trilemma: any given projection can have two of these three properties, but not all three at once. The Mercator projection is the most famous. It is shape-preserving and has grid lines, making it particularly suitable for navigation. But it distorts area like crazy, making Greenland for instance look almost three times larger than Australia by area, when in fact it is over three times smaller. The Gall-Peters projection removes the area distortion, and keeps the grid lines - but at the cost of totally messing up shapes. Africa is way too tall and skinny; Canada too short and wide. The Mollweide projection tries its best to preserve both area and shape, and gives up entirely on straight grid lines. The relationship between area and shape is in fact fundamentally different for spheres and for planes, so no projection can preserve both of them perfectly; but Mollweide comes the closest. Can’t choose? Why not try the Winkel Tripel projection, which compromises by being only slightly bad at preserving areas and shapes, or keeping the grid-lines straight. Everything in this projection is slightly imperfect, but it tries to balance its faults evenly. There are an infinite number of possible projections. What projection is your favorite? #DistanceLadder #geography #MapProjections #3DGeometry #topology #mathematics #WhyNobodyLikesMercatorProjections"

iPhone 12 mini

Nikon Zf + Zoom NIKKOR.C Auto 43〜86mm F3.5

New!
Nikon Zf + NIKKOR-Q Auto 13.5cm F3.5
