to be clear i have no idea if the implementation is okay; 6% failing tests might as well be most important ones, or hiding fundamental correctness issues. i think this is a very cool experiment though, and also motivates adding tests for things that aren't reflected but are important

Until they explicitly say they're scrapping ID/face verification of age for everyone, I say we keep the fire under their asses going. Tell the Stoat and Matrix and Mattermost and all the other platforms that people are going to that they should use this time to prepare for the second influx that'll come in 3-6 months when Discord does the thing they still plan on doing. Those who have already swapped should keep at it. If Discord wants to die on this hill, let them.

Floppy disks were introduced in the early 1970s and in the two decades before they became obsolete, tens of billions were produced, most of which ended up in landfills, long-forgotten storage, or libraries. Archivist Leontien Talboom has been working for the past few years to preserve the floppy disks in the Cambridge University Library, collaborating with retro-computing enthusiasts. She talked to
