FFI gemに対するFiddleの利点って、Rubyに同梱されていることぐらいかと思っていたけど、もう一つあった。
MemoryView対応していること。

ONNX Runtimeでニューラルネットワークモデルの入出力にFiddleを使うと、ちゃんと速くなる。

ssh is an obscure but widely-deployed command. It stands for Secure Snake Home and was made in the 90s to securely play snake online

I made a massively multiplayer backend for it with support for thousands of concurrent snake players

ssh snakes.run to join!

I believe software engineers do exist.

However they mostly work in places that are willing to pay for high reliability, low defect software like NASA and JPL.

Most of the software people regularly encounter is the digital equivalent of Victorian adulterated food filled with cheaper contaminants instead of actual food.

People used to tell me the problem with Medicare For All or a similar socialized healthcare system was that the government would control what care you could and could not receive.

And I responded with: "They already do that. Your private health insurance and doctors aren't safe. There's nothing stopping the government from revoking or banning your medical care. If they can ban abortion, they can ban anything."

And they said: "Pshaw, as if."

And obviously, here we are.
