@zkatkat Unfortunately compliance is expensive in time and money, so all businesses want to move away from it. Only governments or consumer sentiment can stop this, but with WallStreet involved, these businesses have no desire to cater to either.

One time I interviewed at one of those tech gov contracting outfits that came out of the healthcare.gov/USDS stuff.
Front and center they had clearly stated that they wouldn't build weapons or weapon systems.
When talking to the CEO I called this "an easy ethical choice". I was trying to figure out where the line actually was.
Before I could finish my question he said "As a Business Owner it's not an easy choice."
I think about this a lot any time "A Business Owner" talks about ethics.
