What the US government is doing is what the US government is doing. The people in the US are not in control of the federal government. Two corrupt political parties run the federal government, and the result is death and destruction. There's no path to our salvation running through the Democratic or Republican parties. People can continue to pretend that this is a democracy and that some "normal" process will unfold that will make all of this make sense.

It's not going to happen.

For those of you outside of the US, just know that we are not following Trump. He is not leading us. We are not in control of the government ... it is a rogue government unhindered by laws and democratic processes.

For people in the US, the longer we wait ... the harder this problem is to solve. Hoping some magic happens after the November election is only going to lead to more tears.

We need to act now.

Shut. It. All. Down.

남은 시간은 약 1시간 정도입니다.

2년 전, 라피가 일본어 계정으로
"일본인도 서버 등록을 환영합니다"
라는 일본어 게시물을 올렸었습니다.

무슨 인연인가 싶어, 저는 스마트폰에 번역 앱을 설치한 뒤 계정을 만들었습니다.​:ablobcat_yossha:​

아이콘을 업로드하고 프로필을 작성하니, 그렇게 제 스마트폰에 한국어 타임라인이 나타나 처음 보는 세상에 가슴이 뛰었습니다.​:blobcataww:​

그로부터 오늘로 787일이 지났습니다.

제 스마트폰에는 번역 앱이 필수입니다. 모든 걸 읽을 수도 없고 입력도 할 수 없어서, 번역하지 않으면 제 글조차 아직도 올리지 못하고 있습니다. 하지만 작은 기계 판으로 언어의 벽을 넘을 수 있게 되었습니다.

열심히 한국어를 공부해서 말할 수 있게 되어야겠어요!​:blobcat_fu_drawing:​

교보문고는 외서 가격이 매우 좋은데, 부분적인 단서로는 찾기가 어렵다. 결국 아마존에서 검색하고 그 이름 그대로 교보문고에서 검색을 한 번 더 해야 하는 불편함이 있음.

My washing machine doesn’t need Wi-Fi.
It's a feature that I would regret.
I just need a way to wash my pants.
Not show them to the Internet.

My oven doesn't need Wi-Fi.
I'd value that least of all.
It's already shielded from getting too hot.
It doesn't need another firewall.

My fridge does not need Wi-Fi.
That is just not useful for me.
I want a place to chill my food.
Not chat via TCP/IP.

まあそれはそう…
ってのと人集めるイベントに関して、OpenPNEみたいにするとやっぱ人目に止まらないので、集まってれば集まってるでいいことはあるかなって思うが…
もしプラットフォームが売っぱらわれてXみたいに出るに出られん感じになるのもなんだかなと思うこともある。
