pov: you wake up to receive a package with a vacuum chamber and discover that the vendor is a crackhead and a menace to society

this is a vacuum chamber. the power supply that comes with it has a type-C connector and it puts 12V on Vbus unconditionally. the pump works off both 5V and 12V, so it can pull vacuum off a normal type-C power supply. but the solenoid release valve (that lets you open the chamber once you're done) requires their illegal type-C-shaped power supply. also, not only does the chamber not support PD negotiation, it does not even have a CC pulldown.

to add insult to injury, it's using a NEMA 1-15P plug.

Just some advice for job seekers: don’t create your resume by running the job description through AI.

I’m hearing from hiring managers in my company that bunches of resumes all have the exact same blocks of text, so clearly these AI chat bots all spit out nearly the same responses.

All of those resumes are just getting tossed into the Rejected pile. They can’t be trusted as accurate documents.

STOP BLAMING "VOTERS"

"Voters" have statistically 0 impact on US policy according to several studies including the famous 2016 Cambridge study.

We have near 0 impact on news; 90% of all media it's owned by 6 families.
(People vote for what they know, they know what the news tells them.)

Yelling at "voters" does less than nothing.

A root cause must be understood before a solution is possible and the root cause isn't "people", your neighbor, or your co-worker.

US Federal Policy graphed. Policy passed on the Y axis, and support for policy on the X axis. An ideal representation would start at no support and the policy doesn't pass at the bottom left corner of the graph then follow a strait line to full support and the policy has 100% chance of passing at the top right of the graph. According to the graph (made with data from a Cambridge University study), the bottom 90% least wealthy people in the US have no impact on public policy. When there is no support for a policy, there is about a 30% chance the policy will pass. If there is 100% support for the policy, there is about a 30% chance the policy will pass. However, the top 10% wealthiest people in the US have an impact on public policy that is much closer to the ideal. If no elete wants the policy, it doesn't pass. If most elete want the policy, it has a high probability of passing. The graph demonstrates that the average person has absolutely no impact on US public policy, but the top 10% wealthiest Americans have a direct impact on public policy.

Hello everyone, I am Ahmed Nabil Al-Madhoun, 25 years old, studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, fourth level, at Al-Quds Open University. I was supposed to graduate, but unfortunately the war prevented that. My family of 9 and I were living in the north of the Gaza Strip, safe and stable, but when the devastating war came, they asked us to evacuate to the south of the Gaza Strip, to a place with no shelter. This is where the great suffering began, as we took refuge in a torn, dilapidated tent, where there are no services here near the sea in the Al-Mawasi area.
