Started laying out a rough plan for implementing FEP-ef61: Portable Objects in #Fedify—server-independent #ActivityPub identities backed by #DIDs, multi-server replication, and client-side signing. It's going to be a long road (13 tasks across 5 phases, with a few open questions that need answering before we even begin), but I think it's worth doing right.

AIをめぐる議論、AIには当然感情など存在しないので、設計しだいで自律型兵器のようなものは可能になる。ChatGPTに確認したところ、ChatGPTのモデルは以下の条件において設計されているらしい(これはChatGPTだけではなくたぶんOpenAIの基本設計方針)。
これはたぶん自律型兵器をつくるときの障害として設計されている。リアルタイム判断ができないから、現場の兵器としては役にたたないし、なによりトリガーができない。情報を収集してOSINT的な用法が現状のメインの用法で、claude がベネズエラのマズロを逮捕するのに利用されたというのはたぶんこの用法。この用法は今後かなり拡張されるのは疑いない。 これは重要なガードレールだけど、これらを取り払ったときにAIが倫理的行動をとる理由はない。人間の意思が関与しない殺傷兵器をつくるというのは、典型的に「非人間化」であって、それは戦争じたいもそうだけど、それゆえに非人道的兵器の使用は禁止されているはずではある。トラウマをもたない冷酷な兵士を作るのはどんな軍にとっても理想の兵士だとおもう。

Forced to use AI at work, hate it. Usage is monitored so I can't avoid it. I've set up mine to play a Sim City clone. It burns through tokens, making crap cities that quickly go bankrupt. Just been told that I'm getting a bonus for being a top user.

HTMLとCSSだけで「計算」ができるというのは「意図せず計算能力を持ってしまったコンピューター言語」界隈では有名な話で、x86CSSはそれを使って16ビットx86のエミュレーションまでやり遂げたところにすごさがあると思う。
HTMLとCSSの組み合わせで計算ができる以外にも、x86のmov命令だけで計算ができる、TypeScriptの型だけで計算ができる、など様々な「そんなつもりはなかったのに計算ができるコンピューター言語」が知られている。
