I just attended the yearly ASF Members meeting and made official my votes in the foundations business.

I’m so happy to be able to have a voice in how the foundation conducts itself and in turn how it impacts its projects, which are large swaths of the FOSS ecosystem.

Even though I don’t agree with everyone at the foundation, since joining in 2008 I have seen it move in the right (as per me) direction, albeit slower than I would want on some issues.

Like Linux or Wikipedia, @TheASFApache - TheASF is one of the things that make no sense on paper and yet defies expectations year after year. And I’m happy to do my part.

I would say yes, but I expect a high level of choice (I choose the goals, not someone else), transparency (I know how it works, at least at a high level), and control (I can turn it on and off, I can configure or modify it). I think these have become pretty common principles for Fediverse software in general, so I think that would be likely outcomes.
