Linux on arm Mac is 'fun'. The default Fedora is working okay now, but it's pro-AI. What do I do then? 🤔 Chimera and Elementary failed to boot and one of them might have even corrupted my existing Linux install somehow. I know Gentoo should be supported, but I've heard mixed opinions about it. another thing about this whole CS-professors-using-LLMs discussion is that I've been hearing some of my colleagues excitedly say things like, "now that LLMs can generate good code, I don't need grad students anymore!", which horrifies me because of what it implies about how they thought of grad students this whole time: as code generation machines, I guess?

This seemed pretty promising as a solution for scaling OpenLDAP capacity and soon we had a usable back-ndb.
