Hello. My login strategy implements creating account if it doesn't exist:

uid = await User.create({username: player.playerName, email: player.emailAddress});

but "email taken" error occurs. Is this possible to allow multiple accounts with the same email? If I somehow set this in the database, for example, through User.setUserField, will anything break or is this just a way to prevent multiaccounts?

Imagine if we treated cars the way we're treating e-bikes in the US?

Okay, since a few of you have been speeding, and some people have died, Now every car is limited to a 4 cylinder engine with no more than 50hp, And all cars must be governed to no more than 35mph. We're also going to ban cars from any road where the speed limit is 25 or under.

That's literally what's going on right now with e-bikes. Laws are being written that are so restrictive and stupid in some places that they basically render e-bikes e-waste. And that's on purpose. The idea being to get people to stop riding them and to force them back into cars. Because that's all our lawmakers care at all about here.

It's so backwards it drives me nuts!

@0x4d6165 there is a case to be made for writing a first draft in ed (seriously!) I accidentally figured this out while using ed in part of a project of mine as an experiment.

Ed's insert mode is actually pretty ideal for getting into a flow state. You commit things one line at a time. The line can be as long as you want. (I think) you can use emacs/vi key bindings with rlwrap to edit the line. But once you hit enter, the line is in, and you're onto the next thought.

Graduated with a BA in maths(M)/DS(m). My graduation project was literally a way for Mastodon operators to earn enough bucks in order not to get bankrupt, all while not messing the ethics, that Australia and/or France officially recognised, of it up.

Both me and @hy01312 (3 years senior to me- nevertheless, both graduated simultaneously on Feb 2025) are already in the workplace- I've contacted many other devs, including my 5 years junior @djiuon홍지원, to take over the internal papers of my project.

We're the Dark Blue Project, an independent project based in Germany, which publishes content about free and open source software and educate about it. Our primary mission is to inform people about free and open source software and help them with using it.
