We did some WILD EXPERIMENTATION today using CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY to print on plastic.
The results are so much better than expected. There's still a lot of work that we'll need to do to get this to a production standard, but we should be able to use these techniques to add high quality colored details to our toys in short order.

US approves sale of more than 20,000 bombs to Israel
The Trump administration has bypassed congressional review to approve the sale of more than 20,000 bombs to Israel worth about $650m, according to US officials.
US officials also said Israel would buy a further $298m worth of munitions through direct commercial sales.
US cardinal slams ‘sickening’ White House war montage video
An American cardinal close to Pope Leo XIV has described a White House video montage mixing Hollywood film clips with real footage of strikes on Iran as “horrifying” and “sickening”.
“A real war with real death and real suffering being treated like it’s a video game – it’s sickening,” Cardinal Blase Cupich said in a statement on the diocese’s website.

Nearly 20,000 civilian buildings damaged in #Iran
Almost 20,000 civilian buildings across Iran have suffered damage during the ongoing Israeli-US war.
Red Crescent said its preliminary assessments show that about 19,734 civilian structures have been affected.
Among the damaged sites are hospitals, schools and aid facilities
77 medical centres and 65 educational institutions were among the buildings hit.
It also reported damage to 16 facilities operated by the organisation itself.

Today I’m celebrating the reproductive success of New Zealand’s kākāpōs (Strigops habroptilus). The gorgeously goofy flightless parrots are caring for more than 240 eggs this year in response to a bumper crop of berries from the rimu tree (Dacrydium cupressinum). Kākāpō mating is triggered by an abundant rimu ‘mast’ year, and this is the first since 2022. There were only 236 kākāpōs at the start of the year, so every chick that survives will be very welcome.

Israeli forces have killed a mother and her three sons in an attack on a house in Burj Shemali, in Lebanon’s Tyre region.
Those killed were Fatima Awada and her sons Sadr, Hussein and Fadi Zalghout, NNA reported.
One other son Ali miraculously survived and is in the hospital undergoing surgery.
At least 570 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since it resumed widespread attacks last Monday.
Trump has spoken about the US strike on an Iranian warship near Sri Lanka, saying he questioned why the US sank the ship, killing dozens of crew members.

The Shajareh Tayyebeh School was adjacent to an Iranian military compound and was among at least seven buildings struck February 28. Its online presence included a local business listing and a website that showed girls at work and play. Iranian officials have said students made up most of the 175 people killed that day in Minab.

インターネットが民生に普及し始めたころにインターネットを使い始めたぼくやぼくの友人たちが夢見たインターネット文化ってこんなものじゃなかったよ。言葉を尽くして、相互に理解を可能にする、「わかりあう願いをつなぐ」ものだった。もうこんなの、「わかりあう願いをどれだけ効率的に分断してインプレッションを稼ぐか」のゲームじゃん。インターネットを夢見た形にしてあげられなかったのは、いまのインターネットを作っている人間たち、つまりぼくたちだ。ぼくをふくめて人間が悪い。どうしてこうなってしまったんだろう。資本主義とインターネットと生成AIは、混ざってはいけないものだったような気がする。絶望感がある
インターネット技術がまだまだひとを幸せにできることは信じているから、これからもそこにコミットしていこうと思う。巨大な感情交換プラットフォームを作ることではないしカスの広告を出して責任の押し付け合いをすることでもない形で、インターネット技術で人間をちゃんと幸せにしていく贖罪をしていきたいですわね
