거두절미하겠다. X(구 트위터)를 자주 하는 사람들은 다 알 것이다. 2024년 초에 댓글로 돌아다녔던 "내 프로필에 있는 내 XX"라는 스팸 문구와, xAI의 생성형 AI 학습을 비꼬려고 만들어진 "일론 머스크 XX 뒤돌려차기"라는 문구의 합성임을. 당장 구글 검색을 해 보자. 전자는 한 광고 대행사도 최신 '밈'이라고 소개했고, 후자는 12.3 내란 시국의 집회 깃발에도 등장했다. 참으로 처참하다.
X는 트위터 시절부터 이미 사회 이슈 전달용으로 이용되던 플랫폼이다. 내란 때 몇몇 제도권 언론에서도 조명한 명품(?) 플랫폼이다. 필자도 X에서 10년동안 여러 인연들을 얻은 바 있다. 한편으로는 호주의 청소년 소셜미디어 금지 조치에서 절대 안 제외될 플랫폼들 (X, 인스타그램, 페이스북, 스냅챗, 레딧, 유튜브, 트위치, 킥, 스레드 등) 중 하나이기도 하다.
마스토돈은 살아남고 블루스카이는 자진금지로만 끝난 데에는 이유가 있다.

I spent the morning giving away cuttings and peach pits at a local seed swap. Immaculately organized, hopefully the first of many in the future. Here, as in most small rural towns, one doesn't expect big turnouts, but the folks that do come are usually quite engaged and eager for more good things to happen. One word in this thank you note from one of the organizers made it all next level worthwhile.
