Es gibt ein größeres Update der Mastodon-Listen. Die Webanwendung ist nun endlich mehrsprachig und es wurden vier neue Listen für die Niederlande hinzugefügt.
Beispielsweise gibt es 16.333 Toots von niederländischen Behörden: https://mastodon-listen.playground.54gradsoftware.de/behoerden-NL.
Außerdem gibt es jetzt auch eine Liste mit 14 Volkshochschulen und insgesamt 5.707 Toots: https://mastodon-listen.playground.54gradsoftware.de/volkshochschulen-DE.

Tohle je hodně zásadní a aktuální díl Vinohradské 12:
Ačkoliv jsem v zásadě pro-demokratický, pro-liberální a pro-humanistický, tak některé dílčí body, se kterými tohle hnutí přišlo, v zásadě kritizovat nejde. Právo (nikoliv povinnost) z nějaké struktury odejít je zásadní, držet lidi za plotem měly tendenci totalitní státy.
Hodil by se nějaký vhodný český překlad Dark Enlightenmentu: zateměnci? potemněnci? Každopádně, souvislost s populistickými hnutími je u nás zatím nepřímá, ale určitě sílící. Spíš než co jimého je u nás dost lidí, kteří si myslí, že se na tom svezou a něco na tom vytřískají...
Aktuální stav je, že protidemokratické síly směřují k plnému ovládnutí médií, takže svých cílů do značné míry dosahly. Už dneska jsme v jiné situaci.
Metafora "katedrály" je pro mě citlivá i z důvodu metafory "katedrála vs. bazar", kterou používalo open source hnutí 90tých let, ale v naprosto jiném kontextu.
Pokud jde o aktuální situaci, tak Trumpova chaotická intervence v Iránu v podstatě vyvolala odpor amerických izolacionistů, ale současně sníží šance, že k nějaké podobné jednostranné intervenci ještě někdy dojde. Situace se tedy vyvíjí dost dramaticky. Závuslost na technologiích, které vyvíjí Thielův Palantir, odmítla například švýcarská armáda, apod.
Jako vždy hlavní otázkou zůstává: co vymyslíme místo toho? Kudy dál?

Statistical significance tells you a result is real. Practical significance tells you if it is worth caring about. As UX researchers, we need both so we do not overreact to tiny effects or ignore big, noisy signals.
This is why context matters. I have this exact case at the moment. A very small sample, but 90% of my users go towards one specific direction. Those users are representing their own business lines.
