目的設定もないような"作戦"に多くの人間が関わりながら加害行為が拡大していくというのは、日本軍の失敗と似たようなところがあるのではないでしょうか。
先日、人に「勧めづらい本なんですけど」と勧められて『失敗の本質』というものに目を通してみました。
大東亜戦争という表記だとか、内容や表現にはいろいろ異論があります。
「敗戦という悲惨な経験のうえに築かれた戦後の」というくだりも、普段読む文章とはだいぶ世界認識が違うようです。
ノー倫理で「作戦として効果を挙げたか」否かのみを論じてポリコレにはあんまり配慮してない系の文章、極めて新鮮です。
読む分には勉強になるなと思ったんですけど、これが「日本の優秀なビジネスマン」という人たちに参考書としてよく読まれているのであれば、その人たちの歴史認識にずいぶん悪い影響は与えていそうだなー、とも思いました。
中身は批評的態度をもって読まれることを前提にしている専門書とか論文の類いのものなのに、ブックデザインと社会的扱いが「ビジネスマン」向けの自己啓発本なんですよね。
このギャップはまずいだろ。
