Hi . We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague it came up that they have never sat on a chair. Like, not even once in their childhood.

Another colleague listening in admitted they also have never sat on a chair.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a chair.

I'm really struggling with the idea that the responsibility to correct for corporate evil resides with individuals, and that failing to do so constitutes some form of evil itself.

It would seem tantamount to castigating individuals for not recycling "enough" when the true cause of pollution lies with industry.

It would seem a way for capital to coerce the pro-human and anti-capital to tear each other apart, causing nothing but self-inflicted wounds.

Then again, blithe oblivion to whence one's resources come also seems irresponsible.

But like, I have work to do that is more important than choosing the least impure tool every goddamn day.

Funny Signs With Perfect Timing (8 Clever Finds)

STREET ART UTOPIA @streetartutopia@streetartutopia.com

Sometimes the street itself delivers the best punchlines. Here are 8 times ordinary signs and sidewalks accidentally (or purposely) stole the show. 🐶 Doggie Stick Library In a world of little free libraries, this one is clearly operating on golden-retriever logic. The bright yellow cabinet, the neatly stacked branches, and the dog’s total concentration make it feel like the most joyful public service ever built. 💡 Fun Fact: Stick libraries started as a grassroots community project […]

modern games are utter garbage. i went to this place called "cinema" (the only local arcade i have) and paid fifteen bucks for a single play session. it started out interestingly, where you have to match the sequence on the play token with the correct seat to begin (SPOILER: K8 means row K, column 8. not too difficult, but pretty hard for the first level. certainly tougher than the first puzzle in bioshock infinite). then there was the obligatory stealth section: open the packet of chips without alerting the other moviegoers. yawn.

then it all went downhill. ten minutes of preroll ads? people will call this a skill issue, but i couldn't for the life of me find the little [X] to dismiss the ads. i had to sit through all ten minutes. then the main experience starts. two hours of unskippable cutscenes! what is this, a kojima game? god damn. the graphics were incredible -- almost as good as alan wake 2 -- but jeez. and the cutscenes are locked at 24fps. not 30. 24. i guess it's for the "cinematic experience".

and then... it ends. you get a victory lap mission of finding the exit (literally the only door in the room) and it's over. and since it's an arcade, you need to pay again to replay it.

they had multiplayer with proximity chat (the further you sit from your friends, the louder you have to talk), but you instantly fail the stealth sections if you use it. what's the point?

gaming is dead.

Hi . We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague about how I recently learned most people have never sat on a bagel it came up that she has never sat on a donut. Like, not even once during childhood.

Another colleague admitted they also have never sat on a donut.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a donut.
