You can also, and I know this is a big stretch, oppose a third government in the conflict!
You can declare solidarity with all the people in the region who aren’t murdering thieving assholes.
You can call for mitigating a bad situation without that being a declaration of support for the whole mess.

I figured out the last annoying details in replacing the old school PowerPC software stack for creating music for Sega Saturn games! Now you can not only create your own music using midi and convert it to the SEQ format, but also create your own sound samples and convert it to a TON file! I fucking loathe this phrase and everything that goes into it. It's not advice. It's a threat.
You probably read it as "AI is _capable_ of making mistakes; you _should_ check the results".
What it actually says is "AI is _permitted_ to make mistakes; _you are liable_ for the results, whether you check them or not".
Except "you" is generally not even the person building, installing, or even using the AI. It's the person the AI is used on:

It's good to see that more and more people are realising that the Web can be for-good, without all the enshittification.

It's 2026. I'm looking for new USB audio interfaces with the following properties:
1) Class compliant USB audio mode with low latency that works with small buffer sizes (down to 32 samples, but I normally work at 128) and doesn't add too much extra latency on top. (2ms or 3ms at most to deal with USB and stuff.)
2) The class compliant mode must work perfectly on Linux (ALSA) and Mac (CoreAudio.)
3) Windows drivers that add ASIO support on Windows. It should allow multiple ASIO clients at the same time. The Windows drivers must *not* have crap like a brand hub, a brand installer, self-updating, etc. It must not talk to the internet. Ideally it's less than 5mb.
4) 1/4" headphone jack that can drive headphones without distortion up to around 100ohms.
5) At least two inputs that can be used for line input via XLR or balanced TRS.
I currently use a Behringer UMC204HD, because it meets all of those requirements.

I have added the ability to my #activitypub deployment to subscribe to https://tags.pub federated hashtags but even tho I’m subscribed to a bunch of tags I’m not getting any content.
🤔 something is wrong and an afternoon debugging this proved a few issues but now I’m not sure what else to investigate to make this work…
Currently my only working Hashtag explorer from the Fediverse is built on fetching public server API timelines and kind of grep Hashtags from a selection of public servers, this allows me to build a multi instance hashtag timeline, it’s nice but I really wanted to get tags.pub working.

This winter I couldn't use my favorite jacket. Sure, it's old by now and a bit loose (I bought it when I was heavier). But I haven't been able to find it since last summer. The last known location was Ottawa, in the sense that I had taken it to BSDCan but didn't end up using it. It packs down nicely in a backpack, so it's great for traveling.
I spent the whole winter wondering where I might have lost it. Maybe in Ottawa, but that didn't seem likely. I didn't take it to Zagreb. Maybe at my parents' place? But they would have found it. So eventually I came to terms with it: it was gone.
A little while ago I opened the wardrobe to look for a shirt to wear tomorrow and... there it was, hanging among the shirts (I have no idea why), clean and smelling fresh. My wife knows nothing about it.
I'm starting to think the ghost of the previous owner is still wandering around this house.
Or, more simply, sometimes I just have my head in "the clouds" 😆

詩を書くようにソフトウェアデザインすればいいんじゃないでしょうか。詩に外部基準があるわけではないし、ソフトウェアも自律的な表現であることが目指されてもよい。
UI = f(state) って React の有名な公式があるけど、あれに自分は意味を見出せないけど、それでも React 的世界観全体を駆動する表明にはあきらかになっている。純粋関数と状態の組み合わせがUIである、というような方向性に、React を書くプログラマーは駆動される。これは、その世界内での「良さ」の定義でもあるし、コードレビューで指摘されることもある(wayみたいなものとして)。
