There was a targeted assassination of Minnesota Democrat politicians. Melissa Hortman and her husband are dead, while John Hoffman and his wife are hospitalized. The culprit was either impersonating a police officer to gain access to them, or possibly just literally actually a cop.

The government of Minnesota has even gone so far as to say not to open the door if a single lone cop shows up.

it’s honestly kind of a gut punch to have had such an upbeat, successful, peaceful little American protest here in Amsterdam while it’s still early morning in the US, and then I check the news and this happened while we were chanting
