Makes the whole world, even Trump's third world "shithole countries" feel pity for the Americans. Not only for having such clowns run the government, but for not revolting against them.
That's exactly what fascism does. On purpose. It breaks all norms and it asserts its power not only by violence, but by having people accept the unacceptable. Daily, in every big and little thing. The more the acceptance of the unacceptable, the more the subordinance to fascism.
And they know it.
