And of course if they haven't written the code, they probably don't fully understand what it does and so they don't even know how bad it really is.

I could have written another 10 paragraphs about what an awful practice this is, but I decided to leave this for a future post ;)

I actually remember you telling the story of a dev who said "if the program needs more ram, the user can just buy more for a few bucks" or something like that. I would have quoted it, but I couldn't find it anymore 😄
