Watching the happenings in Iran stirs memories of mass protests in Poland in the 80s, in which I participated. Theoretically, I was risking imprisonment or even death. But when you're in a crowd of thousands, your chances of personal injury are minuscule, so I wouldn't consider myself exceptionally brave.
