Hey #digipres community, I need your help once again.

I need to get some conceptual background to approach the issue of "content type" vs. "data type" vs. "data primitives" (notion borrowed from @exponentialdecayRoss Spencer ).

E.g.: a text saved as SVG. Content type is text, data type is image, data primitive is markup language / semi-structured text.
