You know... sometime in the last half century, when I wasn't looking, kites evolved. They grew from little diamond-shaped, rag-tailed things into giant nylon monsters that want to eat children.

That's a good thing, I think.

Two very large squid-shaped nylon kites, one red and the other yellow, hover over a family sitting on a grassy ridge. With dangly legs and giant eyes cast downward, the squid look hungrily at the family underneath them...
