Here’s my potentially unpopular opinion on Canada Post:

The post office (in every country, not just this one) should never have been forced to try and cover its own costs. The Post Office is a service that facilitates the operation of the country. It is entirely reasonable that it be paid for with taxes. Indeed, it’s one of the primary things taxes should be for. Trying to make it support itself is insanity.
