This is **super** cool!

After years of Canadian Fedi being frustrated by NDP party leadership basically ignoring this network of platforms, I am pleased to say that we now have *3* of the NDP leadership candidates on Masto.

Tanille Johnston can claim the honor "First here" - joining socialBC in Sept.

Tony McQuail is 2nd (launching on the flagship instance in Oct), but has posted the most of all three.

Front-runner Avi Lewis' account on mstdn.ca (created just a few days ago) - while short on posts atm - already has more follows and followers, and as with Tanille, he chose to launch his Fedi presence on a Canadian instance, so we know they're taking data sovereignty as more than a slogan.. 😉

We've been kvetching for years, so let's show 'em how happy we are they're now here, peeps!!
