If you weren’t following the James/Comey indictments, there’s a lot more to the saga than “wut the US Attorney wasn’t really the US Attorney” that was decided today.

• Both indictments came after Pam Bondi was scolded by her boss in public to bring them
• No actual, confirmed US Attorney would bring the bogus charges when directed to
• Halligan fired the attorneys who refused to bend the knee
• Both cases allege perjury, but in neither case is it clear what, if any, statements were false
