It doesn’t matter if the administration thinks solar and wind are failures. The people responsible—the ones who have to choose what to invest in that will generate the most power for the least money with high reliability—are using renewables for >80% of new power generation. Oil and coal are over (and gas is declining), because they’re not cost-effective.

Capitalism has no use for culture wars that go against profitability. The GOP will lose their business base.
