So there's a bit of hubbub about the Houthis shooting at an F-35 (unsuccessfully I guess). But there's really not many details on what exactly happened, unsurprisingly.

I guess the big question is: is the Fifth-Generation Fighter remotely worth the additional cost, maintenance, etc over something like a modestly upgraded Fourth-Gen F-15, F-16, or F-18? The early stealth aircraft, the F-117 and B-2, paid off at least once.
