So... I've been stalling, but it's time now.

I'll be installing Linux on at least 4 household computers in the next few weekends. As I'm going to be tech support for my spouse who is very smart but has zero Linux experience, should I just go with Mint?

It seems to be the most recommended distro for ex-Windows users.

If not, pls tell me your preferred version for Linux newbies.
