Meta

Instagram is so polished. Not the platform or the usability, but the content. 90% of what is shared has clearly been the best take out of 7000. Air brushed and fake. Everyone's life is good. Are there people posting their reality? Yeah. I follow tons of them. Close friends and family. But their stuff gets drowned out by influencers and ads and memes. I sometimes don't see my own child's pictures until days later if she doesn't tell me she posted some stuff.

But when I come here. When I go on Pixelfed and scroll Loops (which I'm gonna start utilizing and posting to in the near future), I see everything. The polished stuff and the random person at a random dark pub with their friends. Filtered and unfiltered.

Meta just isn't for regular people anymore.
