I seriously do not understand why some game devs will just casually say "I used AI to do this bit-"

Like... nobody's going to get excited and follow you because you used AI, but people sure as fuck will unfollow you because you used AI.

If I find out you used AI, I'll definitely unfollow you... but it's theoretically possible you could use AI and if the output is good enough I might just... not notice. Isn't that literally what you want to have happen? Why are you announcing it?!
