The music is almost certainly AI-generated as well, it's completely generic trash.

This all makes sense, because the techbros making the game literally do not care about any of that stuff, except in that it might be cool to make an AI do it.

They don't have enough human vision to WANT something. They don't want a specific performance, or music that has a specific tone, or layouts that hit a certain way-

They're just drunk on the idea of Space Is Kewl, and they never stepped one inch further.

It's striking to me how important vision is to the final result of games.

We've gone so far down this road of "fidelity", we seem to think that the only thing that matters in a game is how good it looks.

We also talk a lot about how a game is almost never "one person" - it's a team!

But there should always be a vision. SOMEONE on that team had better care a fucking lot about what the game is trying to actually be.

And these days, that's... really rare.
