Gonna pin this to my profile actually because it's honestly one of the things I'm proudest of having worked on.

In 1972, Christian fundamentalist Jack Chick released The Gay Blade, an anti-gay cartoon tract created in almost knee-jerk reaction to the earliest Pride marches and the massive boost in queer activism that followed Stonewall.

I managed to track down a first edition copy (Chick likes to quietly revise tracts over time) and looking at it with a few folks on Boolean Union, found it to be a genuinely fascinating snapshot of both queer history and how it's distorted through the lens of fundamentalist bigotry.
